Before establishing chamber of commerce and industry there was an agent in Manavgat. In that agent there were 1860 members that most of the chambres doesn't had that amount.

It was late to establish a chamber of commerce and industry; although businessmen wanted to invest in our town and it always has been important in
trade.

In the past the economy was mostly consisted of agriculture in our town. After 1981 during the tourism's developing the economy has also grown and the need of establishing a chambre of commerce and industry came into question.

Increasing of the investmens and new companies foundingin in our town, and travel to Antalya city center, the businessmen acted to establish MATSO.

Leading of the Organisation MASIAD (Manavgat Industrialists and Businessmen Asociation), an entrepreneur committee started to establishing.
